Washington state offers a number of casino and gambling options. A number of Washington casinos owned by local Amerindian tribes are conveniently situated in close proximity to thruways or Washington cities. Twenty-seven Washington casinos are owned in Native American lands. Each and everyone of Washington’s casinos offer slot machine games, roulette, blackjack, craps, and electronic poker. Other gaming tables, including (but not limited to) baccarat banque, poker in varying forms, off-track betting, keno, and bingo are playable at some casinos. The gaming age varies by casino, with some allowing gambling at eighteen, and others not until 21. A couple of other casinos operate in Washington, as well, like card rooms, or so-called mini-casinos. There are several horse tracks in Washington, and betting is available at all of them.
24 of Washington’s twenty-seven native casinos also offer an electronic form of scratch off lottery tickets. These machines have a 5 dollar cap and function using cards purchased at the casino, as opposed to cash. The minimum pay out on these machines is legally 75%, set by the state. Washington casinos are not legally obligated to announce payouts on slot machines.
Washington casinos range from tiny freestanding businesses to large get-a-ways with hotels, dining rooms, beauty shops, and entertainment. Some of the Washington casinos with get-a-ways could make a good starting point for a longer visit, allowing you to experience the natural wonder of Washington state and make day excursions into big urban areas for sightseeing. Las Vegas type displays and entertainment are available at a few Washington casinos.
Washington’s gambling rules allow for a fair amount of leeway with regard to allowed wagering in Washington casinos, as well as allowing for humanitarian wagering. Internet wagering, however, is banned in Washington state and is a class C felony. Web horse wagering is permitted in some circumstances. Free or play money net wagering remains allowed. Washington casinos did not speak up on the new laws, certainly because they clearly stand to benefit from them.
Washington casinos can be an enjoyable diversion or day trip for Washington residents, a wonderful way to have an evening on the town, or an engaging stop on a Washington holiday. Why, one of the many Washington casino vacation destinations might even be a getaway in itself. Washington’s wagering rules allow for exciting, authorized, wagering all around the state in any of the many fine Washington casinos, so you are certain to find one you’ll love, whether you prefer the nickel slot machines or high-stakes poker.
