When most folks consider choosing to work in the gaming industry they usually envision the dealers and casino personnel. it is only natural to think this way due to the fact that those folks are the ones out front and in the public eye. Salaries vary by establishment and locale. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) stats show that full time gaming managers got a median annual figure of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest ten percent earned less than $26,630, and the highest ten per cent earned more than $96,610.

Gaming supervisors take charge of gaming operations and staff in an assigned area. Circulating among the game tables, they make sure that all stations and games are taken care of for each shift. It also is normal for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating principles for bettors. Supervisors can also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and good communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage workers accurately and to greet bettors in order to establish return visits. Many casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Despite their educational background, however, many supervisors gain experience in other casino jobs before moving into supervisory desks because an understanding of games and casino operations is important for these employees.
