Cambodia Casinos

There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the border from nearby Thailand, where gambling hall gaming is not legal. Eight gambling halls are situated in a generally tiny space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent location, a 3 to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The amazing capital accrued from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a number of limitations constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; still, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 5:00 p.m., and even though visas are allegedly required to cross, there are means around this, as is true of most border crossings.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary ship gambling hall, contains one hundred and fifty slot machines and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling hall never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly followed. There are 150 slot machine games and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machines and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the common tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an international resort and hotel building that highlights a number of conveniences in addition to the casino, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and eighty eight tables.
