Gaming supervisors oversee gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they ensure that all stations and games are manned for each shift. It also is common for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating laws for guests. Supervisors could also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have clear leadership qualities and good communication skills. They need these skills both to manage workers properly and to greet gamblers in order to promote return visits. Most casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Regardless of their educational background, however, quite a few supervisors gain expertise in other gaming occupations before moving into supervisory areas because knowledge of games and casino operations is quite essential for these employees.
