The entire process of living in Zimbabwe is something of a gamble at the current time, so you could imagine that there might be little desire for patronizing Zimbabwe’s casinos. In reality, it appears to be operating the opposite way, with the desperate economic circumstances leading to a larger eagerness to bet, to attempt to find a quick win, a way out of the situation.

It’s been said by market analysts who study the situation that many don’t buy a ticket with the rational belief of profiting. Zimbabwe’s gambling dens, on the other shoe, pander to the incredibly rich of the country and vacationers. Until recently, there was a considerably big vacationing industry, founded on nature trips and visits to Victoria Falls. The market anxiety and associated crime have cut into this trade.

In addition to Zimbabwe’s gambling halls and the previously alluded to lottery and Zimbet (which is considerably like a pools system), there are a total of 2 horse racing tracks in the state: the Matabeleland Turf Club in Bulawayo (the 2nd city) and the Borrowdale Park in Harare.
Given that the economy has contracted by beyond forty percent in recent years and with the connected deprivation and bloodshed that has cropped up, it is not known how healthy the vacationing industry which is the backbone of Zimbabwe’s casinos will do in the next few years. How many of them will be alive till conditions get better is basically not known.
